South Library Visit

We had a great time at Christchurch South Library last week. Thanks to all the parents who came along to help. We couldn't have made this trip without you!
We ventured there by foot with Room 6 and this time it was our turn to have a look around the library and do a Scavenger Hunt. The children were read a story and asked questions about what they knew about finding books. Then they were sent off on a scavenger hunt and they found their way around the library answering questions. When that was all done, the children found the books they wanted to issue and sat down to read. After all, that's what it was all about!

Treasure Hunt

We have been learning about Geometry and map reading in Room 5 so, in Week 4, we went out and about around the school armed with maps and followed directions to get to some treasure. There were a few unplanned detours on the way but everyone got there in the end. Ka pai!

Budding Engineers

We have discovered that we have some budding engineers in the class who have designed some amazing creations using different building materials. Here are just a few of them:

Slip 'n' Slide

We have been having lots of fun slipping and sliding over the past week. We didn't let the rain put us off on Monday and we didn't let the cold put us off on Friday. Room 5 are a hardy bunch!
